AWARDS:

The worshipful Company of Furniture makers, City of London

Both Ian & Declan have been awarded 21 guild marks, for excellence in design & making by the Worshipful Co. of Furniture Makers in London. As a small specialised workshop, we are proud to be the leading recipients of these prestigious awards in the UK which in no small way points to the total commitment to excellence that we have made over the years since we started in 1980. Guild mark pieces are judged by a jury of peers whom are all involved in the furniture industry, they are photographed and kept in magnificent leather volumes in the city of London and act as further provenance to the finest pieces of Furniture being produced in our time and thus are recorded and “Guild marked” for posterity. Above is an actual “guild Mark" which may be set it to the piece with the award number engraved on the bottom of the Disc. Just over 400 of these awards have been made since the inception of the scheme in the early 1950’s an average of 7 pieces annualy
